A simple mind trick that gives you instant confidence
First off, give you entire body a good shake down and then confidently march around the room with your shoulders back, your head high and a big smile on your face.
Even if you feel terrible, after a very short time of doing this your mood will begin to shift. When most people do this for the first time they report that they feel 'silly', then they realise that feeling silly is a step up from what they were feeling and the forced smile starts to become a natural one.
As you strut around the room image that you’re wearing a cape.

| When you imagine you are wearing a red cape that's dragging on the floor behind you it instantly makes you feel more confident! Use this trick the next time you need to feel more confident. |
I usually choose a blood red cape that drags on the floor behind me, pulling my shoulders back as I walk. My cape of choice is more like a Roman centurion than Superman and it makes me feel incredibly confident.
I've tried different coloured capes and each one seems to have a different effect. I imagine this is connected to the dominate colours associated with each chakra. Red stimulates the root chakra and it makes you feel really confident and powerful.
Years ago I used to suffer from terrible stage fright and I used this cape visualisation exercise in the wings before confidently marching out onto stage. (At the time I was a stage hypnotist) It worked perfectly.
In fact, if I go back even further, to my university days, I used to use this exact same technique to approach women in bars. My friends all thought I was some kind of social butterfly but inside I was just as petrified as they were.
But I had a trick up my sleeve. My cape gave me the confidence I needed to approach woman, and the body language, posture and charisma I also needed for them to not instantly shut me down.
Capes are incredibly powerful... but I'd stick with the imaginary kind, you're gonna look really weird approaching a hot girl or guy in a bar wearing a real one.
This trick isn’t exactly formal hypnosis but it works really well and it’s something you can do whenever you need it. Sometimes I even add a fanfare of trumpets as I march confidently and purposefully in my imaginary cape. It also helps if you slowly nod your head and imagine you are looking down on people.
Doing this regularly will increase your confidence overall. You’ll notice that in time you just naturally feel confident in any situation. Any kind of visualisation like this is sending a blueprint to your subconscious mind to tell it how you want to be. It works. And, as I said, you can do it yourself. It’s also great fun too :)
